Chinese Community Leader Praises Shen Yun in Toronto

And after seeing Shen Yun perform in Toronto, a Chinese-Canadian community leader said that one performance in particular was really moving.

Alex Yuan is the president of the Chinese Canadian Conservative Association. He saw Shen Yun in Toronto and says the show is something to be proud of.

„In our Canada, in Toronto, there are many different cultures, but I have never seen such a great performance.“

Mr. Yuan says the costumes, dance and music were fantastic.

„The audience sees a different time, the traditional culture of different places.“

Mr. Yuan was really moved by a performance about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, called Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution.

„They really did this one beautifully. The standard was beyond 10 out of 10. Because this performance has the music and dance of so many cultures it is really moving. Two scenes were really emotional, when the authorities persecuted the father, and the child’s reaction. My wife cried.“
