Shen Yun received excellent responses from the audience in Greenboro, North Carolina. Among them, Greensboro Mayor Yvonne Johnson.

[Yvonne Johnson, Greensboro Mayor]:
“I’m now a groupie, I guess. I don’t know what to call myself, but I’ll be back again. The costumes, the colors, the stories, the dance the music. I mean it, just the whole thing it resonates in my soul so. I enjoyed it.”

She says everyone should see Shen Yun.

[Yvonne Johnson, Greensboro Mayor]:
“I would tell the citizens in Greensboro, if you miss this, you have missed a treat. That you really will regret. Once you see it once you experience it you will want to come back again and again.”

Alma Adams, a representative on the North Carolina General Assembly, also enjoyed the Chinese Spectacular.

[Alma Adams, North Carolina General Assembly Representative]:
“And I know how important the arts are. So to have a performing arts company such as this one to come and show how the arts are integrated was just an extraordinary experience for me as an educator as well as a politician.”

The huge digital backdrop behind each performance in Shen Yun really impressed her.

[Alma Adams, North Carolina General Assembly Representative]:
“How even with the scenery, there was a lot even going on there. With the animation and the birds flying up, becoming the moon or the sun. I mean just that whole thing was spectacular. And the timing of everything how one thing would happen, another thing would happen. It just seems so precise. And on time. The dancers with their, the rhythm and the ease at which they did their work was just a sight to see. I was just happy that I got an opportunity to witness it.”
